The fine print, up front

How Gross Profit is figured

Contract price actually collected, minus direct job costs: materials, freight, labor and subs, dump fees, permits, crane and equipment rental, warranty reserve on the job, and sales tax remitted on the job. Off the company Job Closing Sheet. Same sheet, every job, every rep.

When you get paid. Within 7 business days of final collection. Commission is earned on jobs that are fully collected, which means the customer and any insurance carrier have paid. No commission on a job that closes under 18% GP margin.

The tool

You do not walk in with a catalog

Every other supply rep walks in with a catalog. You walk in and quote the contractor's job on your phone.

Instant Metal Quote turns a takeoff into real standing seam and 5V-crimp pricing in minutes. You leave the conversation with a number the contractor can bid, instead of a promise to follow up next week. That is the door opener, and it is the reason this seat is not the same job as selling for a supply house.

Unedited is fine. We care about the pitch, not the production.

Questions

Before you ask

Is this a W2 job or 1099?

1099. No base salary, no draw, no advance, no expense reimbursement, no PTO and no benefits. You get a 1099-NEC every January and you handle your own taxes.

How is my commission actually calculated?

You pick. Option 1 is straight: 22% of Gross Profit on every job you close, no tiers and no overhead deductions. Option 2 is tiered: 18% on your first $40,000 of monthly Gross Profit, 23% on the next $40,000, and 27% on everything above $80,000 in a month.

What counts as Gross Profit?

When do I get paid?

Within 7 business days of final collection. Commission is earned on jobs that are fully collected, which means the customer and any insurance carrier have paid. There is no commission on a job that closes under 18% GP margin.

Who am I selling to?

Roofing contractors, general contractors and builders. Not homeowners. You are not knocking doors and you are not running residential appointments.

What is the territory?

Florida. The seat is field based out of Jacksonville and St. Augustine, and ERS covers the state. There is no territory cap.

What do I need to get started?

A reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, and a phone. You will be given access to Instant Metal Quote so you can price a contractor's job on the spot.

What does the hiring process look like?

Every video is watched by a person, not screened by software. If it is a fit we reach out within 2 business days to set up a 20-minute call. If it is not a fit you will hear that from us too. We do not leave people hanging.
